This is lovely Aikido. The mechanics involved are fascinating. It also reminds me why Aikido is so well suited to women practitioners. Women understand the "hip" thing intuitively. When we men finally get it "in our bones", make the breakthrough, it can be very exciting!

I haven't trained for a few years (old fart Nidan). But if I was a young man who had become captivated by the sheer brilliance of O'Sensei's Art as passed down through Morihiro Saito Sensei & the Iwama school, THIS is the man I would seek out to learn from! I haven't seen Aikido this good since I attended Saito Sensei's seminars back in the eighties. THIS is Aikido. Do not walk past...

Thank you for putting together such a vast compilation showing the fullness of Iwama-style Aikido. Sensei shows speed, flow, and skill and a deep understanding of the Bukiwaza and taijutsu, which blend together. In my opinion, he is a Sensei to watch in the future as he gets better year after year.
Thank you so much Tony Shihan! Yes I agree with you on everything you wrote and we are very blessed to have him today. We will carry on and build on this to shape a strong Iwama Aikido for future generations... Said Sebbagh Sensei is at his prime and to me he is one of the best we can learn from today...

@@nickregnier1 Ah ok, Said Sebbagh, of course, I know him. I had the pleasure to meet him in the past. Yes, he was a former student of Daniel Toutain Sensei. That must be why the video reminded me so much of the teachings of Daniel Sensei. It reminded me a lot on the basics we learned in our beginning stages of the training with him. You should really see Daniel if you have the chance to do. He is a really great practitioner and a humble and warm-hearted person. He lives in the south of France, near Perpignan. And I can testify he really refined these basics much much more over the years. Indeed a great accomplishment. If you enjoy the basics, you’ll probably would enjoy his skill and refinement even more. Best regards and keep up the great work🙏
